Active search prevents note links from working

Testing version:

iOS, 10759

What were you doing:
First searching some term (“spaghetti”), open the note (“spaghetti bolognese”) then trying to click a wiki link (“tomato”). Or trying to open a note from the random note widget, after having searched for something.

What happened:
The linked note did note open whenever it was not matched by the current search. (The term “spaghetti” does not occur in the “tomato” note)

What did you expect to happen:
I would expect the note (“tomato”) to open anyway.

Same issue. If there is an active search, I can jump to no other notes at all.

Thanks for reporting this issue, a fix will be available with the next update.

A similar problem, @trix180

If you have an active search with
@yesterday”, “@locked” and a few other special searches:

  1. If you then press cmd+N, nothing seemingly happens
  2. You maybe press it again a few times …
  3. New notes are actually created in the background with titles: “@yesterday”, “@locked”, etc.
  4. But since they are neither locked or from yesterday yet (and probably never will ), they are excluded/hidden from the active search.
  5. When you cancel the search, they appear in the notes list.

It’s not a big problem, so leave it for a rainy day, but I got quite confused at first :upside_down_face:

I think this was a problem with Bear 1 too and I’m not sure what the correct thing to do is

I’m not sure either, but what came to mind was in these special cases, cancel search and activate note editor with new note, would maybe be the most sensible thing to do?

I wouldn’t like to create a new note from yesterday :joy:
