Emoji's are not Highlighted Properly

Testing version: Version 2.0 (9969)

What were you doing: Highlighting (====) emojis and text inside a note.

What feature did you use: Pasted emoji (using Raycast) and tried to highlight it using markdown’s symbols.

What happened: After pressing enter (or going to the next line) so that markdown preview would render, the text (and emoji) did not get highlighted, instead stayed with the symbols (====)

What did you expect to happen: Expected the text as well as the emoji to be highlighted.

Hello,

do you mind sending the markdown for the What happened screenshot?

Thanks for reporting this issue.

Here is what I wrote:

==**🤝 Note==**

Going back to it, I suspect that might be due to how markdown handles logic, so in this case correcting it to where the symbols don’t overlap would solve the issue for example:

==**🤝 Note**==

appears to render fine. That means this might have been a mistake on my end from the beginning, but please correct me if I’m wrong.

You are right, you can’t make styles overlap the way you did in your first example :slight_smile:

The second example is the correct markdown for the result you’re looking for.
