Hi there, Thank you for the feedback, but this most likely will not be implemented into Bear. This is as we already currently have a new Styles bar (macOS, which can also be accessed via shortcuts) and a custom keyboard (iOS) to display tools. Also the slash sign / is already used for creating italics in Bear. Regardless, i’ll pass the suggestion onto the development and design team to consider when moving forward.

This is their answer, and I personally won’t like it either. It is easy enough to get all the features via shortcut/ clicking/ typing them and it would make the writing experience whole lot messier with this feature.
