Open parens in file name breaks md-link

Testing version: Version 1.0 (2510)

What were you doing: Dragging a pdf into pandas with a ( in the name

What feature did you use: PDF embedding

What happened: As the name contains an opening ( it broke the MD-link.

What did you expect to happen: As in bear, the name of the file to sanitised and and the ( to be removed.

This happened because, I am using Latexit for equations and dragging an equation out of the editor, the default name may contain ( if it was in the equation. It is a limit case, but since Bear deals with it gracefully, this would be feature parity

Hi there,

Thank you for letting us know, we’ll investigate this and see what we can do

Hi there @sitacuisses

Just a follow-up on this, would you be able to provide the exact link that this was occurring with to assist with investigating?

Sure, here I use a jpg, but the effect is the same.

I said in the original message, that in Bear the ( is replaced. This is not the case, in Bear it doesn’t cause any issues since the images syntax is different and hence a stray ( doesn’t cause trouble.

Again, this is low priority, but just in case.
