I see in the 2.0 beta that the page can be scrolled down 8-10 lines past the last typed line so there is plenty of space as you type. Once I type past the last line, though, the text continues down below the keyboard, and I have to manually scroll to get down past it.
In I think Bear 1 and many other editors, I am used to the page scrolling so that the cursor always stays in view as you type. And this would result in fewer interruptions for me as I type to have to manually scroll.
