Duplicate notes when importing Bear 2 private beta notes

When I import edited notes from Bear 2, it imports the notes but the old one in Bear 1 remains. Are we supposed to manually delete the older duplicates? Or did I miss a step to allow overwriting when importing?

Hello,

there is no automatic way to migrate between the private beta and the public one (we warned everyone about that at the beginning).

You can import only the new notes that you’ve created/updated in the private, or you can manually delete the duplicates.

Thanks for the clarification! Would the better upgrade steps for private beta users to:

  1. Export all notes from private beta
  2. Upgrade and delete Bear 1 notes
  3. Import all the private beta notes

Btw, I’ve already started manually deleting the duplicates. Just putting this out here to help anyone who might be unsure.
