What were you doing:
I wrote a code snippet in between paragraphs.
What feature did you use:
Paragraph spacing and fenced code blocks. I like logical paragraphs, visually apart just a bit, they have a configured spacing of 0.6em.
What happened:
The space is not present between the end of the code block, and the start of the following paragraph.

I’d expect that blank area to match the rest of the document aesthetics.
