Many people have a hard time focussing with a blinking cursor. Having an option to make it static would be great; also adding options for different types of cursors (line, block, etc.)

I’m just seconding this comment. If I could make the cursor static, I would absolutely do it in a heartbeat. I often find myself just watching it blink away at me.

Yes, please! Stopping the blink would be great. A cursor block would be even better
