Placement of document for footnotes

One thing that bothers me a little about footnotes is that when I click on the footnote to go to the section of the document, it makes the sentence show at the top part of the screen. I think it would be a much better experience if it was at the top of the second third of the screen.

I believe it was designed this way (at the top) to make the passage easier to locate for the user.

However, we appreciate this feedback and i’ll pass it onto our designer to have a think about when moving forward on this front, many thanks!
