IMHO it would be better to only show the preview of a web link when we hover over the link icon.

Thank you for the feedback, i’ll pass it onto our designer to consider when moving forward with link preview options 
I agree,
Don’t see the benefit of having preview switched on, better to do as in iOS Notes or tap and hold to show preview momentarily.
Or would rather have Bear 2.0 beta and Web version released sooner, and then new features added later on – just my two cents
